I'm from a family of 7 kids in Southeastern Ontario (Canada). I was homeschooled through high school, after which I attended Carleton University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, with a focus on network engineering. During the years when I was working on my degree I worked briefly in the public sector, and then for two software companies: prairieFyre and LiveQoS.
Since then I've made the decision to drastically change my focus and am now employed full-time at Harvest Christian Fellowship: a non-denominational church in Cornwall. I still do contract-based software development on the side, but my focus is on supporting and developing my local church.
I’ve worked on software projects at just about every level: from Linux and Windows kernel-mode, to Ruby on Rails to iOS and Android.
